Hestia @ Sustainable Places 2021

When: Sept 28th - Oct 1st - Where: Rome, Italy (Physichal or Digital).

Many HESTIA partners will be present at this year’s edition of SUSTAINABLE PLACES Conference to be celebrated between the 28th of September and 1st October in Rome, Italy.

The conference is open to topics related to building sustainability and will conduct its activities around the priorities reflected in the European Commission Societal Challenges and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These topics include:  Buildings / renovation / energy performance / Policies / certifications / behaviours / Renewable energy technologies / platforms / Circular economy / business models / Smart grids and cities / energy communities / BIM / Digitalisation and energy modeling. One of the main objectives is to showcase the results coming out of the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme via the participation of cutting-edge research and innovation projects, and this year will gather more than 150 European projects, amongst them HESTIA.

The conference which, due to the pandemic circumstances, has implemented an hybrid format (digital + in-person), is the ideal platform to disseminate the research and development carried by the aformentioned EU projects, to conduct workshops, and to facilitate EU project clustering and networking opportunities between stakeholders of all types. It will include keynote and parallel technical sessions, and finally project-organized workshops.

In this line, HESTIA, under the overall management of partner R2M Solution, will be organizing a specific workshop on September 28th & 29th, under the title “Energy Communities in Europe“, a kaleidoscope workshop with the participation of almost 25 H2020 projects that will be exchanging their experiences, strategies, approaches and solutions which are strongly connected to the European energy communities.

We invite all related and interested parties to register to HESTIA’s workshop and also benefit from the knowledge and insights to be generated during this 4-days hybrid event.
